When a furnace in Webster quits on a cold night, the first things to figure out are whether you need heat tonight and whether the furnace is still worth repairing.

No heat, or something close

If you smell gas, leave the house and follow local emergency guidance before you call any HVAC shop. Same goes if you suspect carbon monoxide. Don’t wait in the basement sniffing around.

Planning a furnace install or replacement
For a planned job, we look at layout, heating load, ducts and returns, fuel (gas, oil, or propane), and how the house actually gets used. Oversizing to “be safe” usually means short cycling and worse comfort. Undersizing means cold rooms in January.
We’ll tell you when a repair still makes sense. Furnaces and AC are our main work, and heat pumps come up when they fit the house.
