AC replacement for Penfield, NY homes
If your Penfield AC runs constantly and the house still feels sticky, replacement might be on the table. It might also be a duct or airflow problem dressed up as an equipment problem. We sort that out before anyone orders a condenser.
We’re Green Guys Heating, and our shop is at 340 Haley Rd in Ontario. Penfield and the other east-side towns in our service area are regular work for us, and humid summer weather is when weak systems show themselves.
When replacement starts making sense
These are the signs we watch for:
- The AC runs constantly and the house still isn’t comfortable
- Floors that never match
- Noise, icing, or leaks at the outdoor unit
- An aging system that keeps eating refrigerant or needing compressor repairs
- Cooling bills going up without the house feeling any better
We’ll inspect the outdoor unit, the indoor equipment, the ducts and returns, and the electrical and control basics. If an honest repair will do it, repair stays on the table. If the matched system is worn out or the next major part isn’t worth it, we’ll say replace. If the old system was wrong for the house to begin with, putting the same thing back in isn’t always the right call.
Furnaces and air conditioning are what we lead with. A heat pump, which also cools, can come up in the conversation, but we don’t open with it.
