Central air installation for Macedon, NY homes
Some Macedon homes never had decent central cooling. Others have a system that runs all afternoon and still leaves the family room humid. Either way, we start with how air moves through the house before anyone talks about which outdoor unit has the nicest brochure.
We’re Green Guys Heating, based at 340 Haley Rd in Ontario, so Macedon is close for us. We install and replace central air, and we’ll tell you when a repair still beats a full swap.
What usually shows up on a call
Usually it’s a hot upstairs while the thermostat is happy, weak airflow at a few registers, or an outdoor unit that ices up or sounds wrong. Sometimes it’s an aging condenser on its third compressor visit, or ducts that were never right for the finished space you’re trying to cool.
We’ll look at the layout, the duct and return paths, outdoor placement and clearances, the electrical, and what’s left of the current equipment. If the real problem is how the air gets distributed, new hardware alone won’t fix it, and we’ll tell you so. Placement and service clearance matter too. Cram a unit where it can’t breathe and you’re on a short path to another service call.
Furnaces and central air are what we lead with. Ductless or heat pump options come up only for a zone, or a home, where ductwork doesn’t make sense.
